Acciaroli, pearl of the Cilento

It is located on the Tyrrhenian coast (Costiera Cilentana), along the SS 267 del Cilento. It is about 30 km from Agropoli.
Acciaroli preserves a twelfth-century church, remodeled in the following period, dedicated to the Santissima Annunziata, a Franciscan convent dating back to 1565 and a Norman watchtower.
For some periods of 1952, during his Italian travels, Nobel Prize winner Ernest Hemingway stayed in the resort.
Acciaroli boasts one of the cleanest seas in Italy, awarded with the award, now twenty years, of the Blue Flag of Fee Italy and the Five Sails of Legambiente. This gave her a certain notoriety by increasing the summer tourist flow. There are different types of beaches, each with its peculiar characteristic: from the large beach with its fine golden sand, to the beach near the port leaning against the characteristic little houses, to go to that of the stones just beyond, up to the rocks of Caleo , unique and particular.
The town is also located in the territory of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano, with the typical Mediterranean vegetation. There are also restaurants specialized in typical Cilento cuisine.
